My Secretary is taking a break...

....or so she tells me.

Apparently she is taking a break from typing

my blog here over Christmas.

So I got her to add a message for me to you all...

Someone small and orange

....has sent a request to stay with us for a few days.   He tried the "I'm so cute you can't resist me" approach.   Somehow I think it worked.

Excuse me everyone....

....but I would like to take a moment to dispel a myth that is going around here.

Someone (in this case my Secretary, but don't tell her I said that)

seems to think I ignore her.

Well, I have the proof that I DO LISTEN AND RETURN TO HER!

so there!

It was fine until I looked the other way

...and then the tennis ball floated off.  I went into action and rescued it, of course.  (mum & dad thought it was funny...humph!)

Ha...dad tried to get me to walk along these things

I had other ideas!

I love the ocean....

and I love the shallows - well, an estuary.  Mention 'puddles' and that would be a different matter, but mum has (again) found some photos of me from a recent trip her and dad took me on....about time these pictures were added here......I really need a new Secretary.

Just had another great holiday

plus it was at the SEASIDE...well, mostly and the best part for me.  One of the beaches I LOVE is

SHELL BAY near Sandbanks, just across the water from Sandbanks in fact.  And at this time of year

we had to drive around to it, as the ferry was having its maintenance done (you can see it in the

background in some of these pictures).

and have you seen this great idea.

A 2 Minute Beach Clean,

with handy picker upper gadgets for the humans

plus bags (although people had been busy already clearing up

and the bags had been used

and the bins had stuff in them)

besides,

the beach looked clean apart from the seaweed

and that will go out on the next tide

Never heard of it?   No, neither had I.  We came across this on a recent trip to Cornwall, and happened upon it on one of our walks.  Of course I thought it had been added for the humans to enjoy

then there was this info about it...

I spent ages look for the 'drawer' that was mentioned but couldn't see it anywhere,

it certainly wasn't on the ground nor in the sky!

but it made a great place to relax

I could have stayed there all day.

Visitors arrived

I was so excited to see Auntie and Hamish yesterday, plus we went to the beach...

Auntie wondered what I would look like with long blond hair..

There I was having a grand old time on the beach in Cornwall, when up came a Setter and his friend a golden Lab, and heck can you guess what happened!   Well, let me tell you,  the Setter STOLE my TENNIS BALL.     WHAT!!!!!!   in fact let me show you, I can prove every word me lord....

Thankfully the golden lab managed to rescue my tennis ball for me,

for which I am very grateful.
